  5. The audit-trail analyser consists of a suite of programs aimed at improving the
  6. readability and usefulness of SCO UNIX audit trails. It provides reports on
  7. audited events either manually or automatically and allows archiving, deleting
  8. and restoring of completed audit sessions. Its aim is to remove the
  9. labour-intensive tasks involved in maintaining a successful audit trail, which
  10. often persuades system administrators not to use this important security
  11. feature. Its main component allows selective reporting of meaningful audit
  12. events but other included utilities allow the user to set up automatic
  13. reporting, session archiving and many other features not provided with the
  14. standard SCO audit trail.
